Togo/Peace & Stability: President Faure Gnassingbe’s leadership in the Sub-Region praised

The President of Togo, Head of State Faure Essozimna GNASSINGBÉ, continues to receive recognition for his proactive diplomacy in the fight for peace and stability in the West African subregion. On Tuesday, November 5, it was the turn of Nigerian Foreign Minister and current Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, to express his admiration and appreciation to the Togolese Head of State.

Regarded as one of the key builders of peace and stability in the region and across Africa, President Faure GNASSINGBÉ has consistently remained steadfast in his diplomatic approach to addressing challenges and conflicts. The envoy from the regional organization, while in LomĂ© for the upcoming Ordinary Summit of the Conference of Heads of State and Government, did not fail to express his satisfaction with President GnassingbĂ©’s mediation efforts in the crisis between the organization and the countries of the Economic and Monetary Union of West Africa (WAEMU).

According to him, “President Faure GnassingbĂ© is one of the regional leaders playing a crucial role in mediation concerning the countries of WAEMU, and his role has proven to be very effective (…)”. For this reason, the intervention of Togo’s number one leader is regularly sought by his peers in the resolution of conflicts. Many acknowledge and praise President Faure Essozimna GNASSINGBÉ for his fair play in resolving crises across Africa.

Always advocating for peace and stability in his country and across the African continent, the Togolese Head of State is indispensable to regional and African organizations. He is frequently called upon to address issues related to integration and the fight against terrorism, thus demonstrating the effectiveness of his diplomatic leadership.
