Togo: President Faure Gnassingbé receives Mr Mohamed Moussa, ASECNA CEO, at the end of his mission

After eight years at the helm of the Agency for the Safety of Air Navigation in Africa and Madagascar (ASECNA), Mohamed Moussa is concluding his term. In recognition of his dedication and contributions to the development of the aviation sector in Africa, he was received on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, by Togolese President Faure Gnassingbé, Champion of the Single African Air Transport Market (SAATM).

During his tenure, Mohamed Moussa worked tirelessly to modernize infrastructure and enhance air navigation safety across the continent in a complex environment. Under his leadership, ASECNA promoted initiatives aimed at harmonizing regional standards and strengthening technical capacities to support the growth of air transport in Africa.

President Faure Gnassingbé, a strong advocate for the SAATM, praised Mohamed Moussa’s achievements. In return, Moussa expressed his gratitude to ASECNA’s member states and partners for their support throughout his tenure.

Moussa’s departure marks a significant turning point for the agency, which must continue the reforms he initiated and maintain its crucial role in the integration of African air transport. This challenge remains vital to ensuring increased mobility and better connectivity, driving the continent’s economic development.
