Togo : President Faure Gnassingbé’s active support for the development of the Artisanal sector
President Faure Gnassingbé’s vision and ambition regarding the artisanal sector in Togo play a crucial role in job creation and income generation. He strives to transform artisans into genuine artisanal enterprises, which is an essential pillar of his economic program.
President Faure Gnassingbé aims to modernize the artisanal sector by providing financial, technical, and logistical support to artisans. He seeks to promote vocational training and access to markets for Togolese artisans, to enhance their competitiveness both nationally and internationally.
The Minister of Trade, Handicrafts, and Local Consumption, Rose Kayi Mivedor, visited regional chambers of trades to better understand the realities faced by artisans. She took this opportunity to reaffirm President Faure Gnassingbé’s support for artisans in Lomé.
Furthermore, the Minister in charge of Handicrafts, Rose Kayi Mivedor, fulfilled a promise made by the Head of State by providing a vehicle to the Chamber of Trades of Grand Lomé, in line with the commitment made to all regional chambers of trades.
This initiative demonstrates President Faure Gnassingbé’s commitment to supporting and strengthening the artisanal sector to foster the economic and social development of Togo.
