Togo: President Faure Gnassingbe’s address on the occasion of Assumption Day

The President of the Togolese Republic, His Excellency Faure Gnassingbé, delivered a heartfelt and unifying message to the Togolese people on the occasion of the Feast of the Assumption, celebrated on August 15. In his speech, he extended his best wishes to Catholics in Togo and around the world, hoping that this day would be filled with grace and blessings.

 “Happy Feast of the Assumption to all Catholics in Togo and beyond! May this blessed day be filled with grace and inspire us to strengthen our fraternal bonds”, declared President GnassingbĂ©. He emphasized the significance of this religious holiday as an opportunity for reflection and for strengthening ties among Togolese people. The President encouraged everyone to cultivate harmony around them by working towards a more united and supportive society.

At the heart of his message, President GnassingbĂ© highlighted the values of peace, concord, and unity. “Let us work even more to preserve and strengthen peace, concord, and unity in our country”, he stated.
