0

Under the leadership of President Faure Gnassingbé, Togo has embarked on a strategic transformation aimed at making it a key logistical, digital, and financial hub in West Africa. The modernization of port infrastructure, particularly the Autonomous Port of Lomé, as well as the improvement of road and rail networks, positions the country as a key gateway for trade flows in the subregion. These efforts enhance connectivity and facilitate intra-African trade under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

In parallel, the Togolese government has focused on developing its digital sector through massive investments in information and communication technologies (ICT). The “Togo Digital 2025” initiative aims to promote digital inclusion, attract tech companies, and foster innovation. Furthermore, Lomé is gradually emerging as a regional financial center, thanks to reforms aimed at enhancing transparency, competitiveness, and attractiveness for international investors.

These initiatives are transforming Togo into an economic driver for the subregion, attracting not only investors but also development partners. This strategic positioning reflects President Faure Gnassingbé’s ambitious vision of making Togo a key player in the integration and prosperity of West Africa.
