Togo: The 18th edition of the International Fair of Lomé (FIL) starts with a new era of connectivity and comfort for visitors
The Togolese Center for Exhibitions and Fairs in Lomé (CETEF) opened its doors on November 22, 2023, marking the opening of the 18th edition of the International Fair of Lomé (FIL). With the inspiring theme «Connecting Markets for Strong Trade Growth», this significant event will continue until December 3, 2023.
Minister of Trade, Handicrafts, and Local Consumption, Rose Kayi Mivedor-Sambiani, expressed her enthusiasm during a preliminary visit on November 17, 2023, ensuring that all necessary facilities are in place to accommodate both exhibitors and visitors.
To enhance visitor experience, the 18th FIL is introducing various innovations, signaling a shift towards a more modern and interconnected era. Digitalization is in the spotlight with the option to purchase tickets online, offering a convenient alternative for busy visitors. Moreover, guides will be available to accompany patrons throughout the fair, providing valuable insights into different pavilions and commercial opportunities.
Additionally, designated resting areas will be arranged to allow visitors to relax and rejuvenate, fostering a convivial and welcoming atmosphere. These rest zones will be strategically positioned to provide a well-deserved break for weary visitors while enabling them to fully immerse themselves in the event.
This year’s FIL aims to bolster trade relations, spotlight local craftsmanship, and offer a dynamic platform for international exchanges. Through these new initiatives centered on connectivity and visitor comfort, the International Fair of Lomé continues to make a significant impact as a premier event fostering commerce and global cooperation.
