Togo : The 3rd Edition of the Marmite Festival (FESMA) starts on April 15th
The third edition of the Marmite Festival (FESMA), a celebration of Togolese and African gastronomy, will take place from April 15th to 21st in the Togolese capital, Lomé.
For this third edition, 200 exhibitors from Togo and across Africa will gather at the esplanade of the Congress Palace around the theme, « The Challenges of Agricultural Transformation and Valorization of Local Products ».
Enthusiasts of culinary art, stakeholders in the food industry and development, are all expected at this intersection of African culinary cultures. Beyond the culinary aspect, FESMA is an event that promotes culture and tourism in Togo.
Therefore, other activities are planned in the event’s program. Workshops and scientific symposiums are scheduled to address the challenges of local and regional production and transformation of agricultural products.
The idea is to make FESMA a cultural, tourist, and scientific event highlighting Togolese gastronomy and that of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) region.
