Togo to host the first Artificial Intelligence Week in March 2024

The Artificial Intelligence Week (AIW) will take place for the first time in Togo in March 2024. Organized by the Togolese branch of the International Council for Artificial Intelligence (CONIIA-Togo), the event will run from March 19th to March 24th, 2024. This initiative will bring together industry stakeholders in Togo to assess the current state of AI and explore the resulting opportunities.

The goal of the 2024 AIW is to raise awareness among the general public, students, decision-makers, and institutions about advancements in artificial intelligence. Jérôme Ribier, co-organizer of the event, emphasizes that the 2024 AIW will be a moment for sharing through interactive workshops, informative conferences, and practical demonstrations.

Despite its current position at 23rd in Africa and 145th globally in the 2023 Oxford Insights ranking of countries best prepared for the adoption of artificial intelligence, CONIIA-Togo aspires to establish Togo as a leader in this field through this March meeting.

The first edition of the AIW will be co-organized by CONIIA-Togo and Human-AI, a specialized entity in the development of new technologies.
