In Togo, the government, under the leadership of President Faure Gnassingbé, continues its unwavering commitment to the well-being of its population, with a particular focus on the most vulnerable groups. In 2024, the Ministry of Social Action, Solidarity, and Women’s Promotion launched numerous initiatives directly benefiting 237,456 people, including 58.62% women. These efforts reflect the President’s determination to build a more inclusive and supportive society, where every citizen receives the necessary support to improve their living conditions.

The annual review of the ministry’s activities, held in Kpalimé on January 29, revealed a physical implementation rate of 85.11% and a financial completion rate of 96.25%, highlighting the efficiency in the execution of social policies. Notable projects include the Rural Women’s Empowerment Project in Togo (PAFeRT) and the Support for Socio-Professional Integration of Disabled Persons in Togo Project (PAISPHT), both aimed at strengthening economic independence and integrating disadvantaged populations.

In this context, Minister Akossiwa Zinsou-Klassou emphasized the importance of evaluating and adapting strategies to effectively meet the citizens’ needs. The year 2025 is expected to be marked by an enhanced focus on the most vulnerable, with the goal of consolidating achievements and intensifying the impact of social initiatives.
