World : Mars exploration, NASA announces a new project with the Mars Aerial and Ground Intelligent Explorer

The NASA has recently revealed an unprecedented project aimed at exploring Mars through an innovative aerial mission. Titled Mars Aerial and Ground Intelligent Explorer, this compact fixed-wing aircraft, designed by the American aerospace company Coflow Jet, LLC, could fundamentally transform our understanding of the red planet.

Designed to operate at an altitude of 1,000 meters, the Mars Aerial and Ground Intelligent Explorer is committed to conducting in-depth geophysical and atmospheric studies to unravel mysteries related to Martian geology, atmospheric chemistry, and even the possibility of past or present life on Mars.

The scientific goals of this mission are ambitious, ranging from investigating the origin of the Martian core dynamo to mapping underground water ice at mid-latitudes. These missions would significantly contribute to understanding various Martian phenomena, thereby opening new perspectives for space exploration.

This groundbreaking initiative would be able to cover up to 179 kilometers in 7.6 Martian days with a fully charged battery, covering an estimated total range of 16,048 kilometers during a Martian year.

NASA emphasizes that the validation of this aeronautical technology on Mars could pave the way for similar missions to other planets in the solar system.
