BURKINA-FASO: INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY CELEBRATION/CAPTAIN IBRAHIM TRAORE ANNOUNCES THE ONGOING REFORMS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE YOUTH

The international community celebrated on this 12th August 2023, the youth day. A day dedicated to reflect on different challenges faced by this social group and to find solutions.

In Burkina-Faso, the commemoration was marked by a great meeting between the government and the youth, it chaired by the head of State, captain Ibrahim TRAORE.

Under the theme « strengthen the employability of young people living in rural areas and combat the insecurity in Burkina-Faso », that event held at Ouagadougou was attended by several young people from all regions of the country.

One by another, they reported the difficulties they faced; which mainly concern the territory’s security and development. They have also submitted complaints, relating to their fields of activity and their locality.

The commemoration was an opportunity for the head of State to announce the ongoing reforms and projects in favor of youth.

There will be « a representative from each region as a mission officer », insured Ibrahim TRAORE before specifying that « the main role of this MISSIONS OFFICER is to address the concerns of the youth in all regions and find solutions ».

Being young himself, President Ibrahim TRAORE is very concerned about the future conditions of African youth in general and Burkinabe youth in particular.

During his speech at Russia-Africa, he made himself the spokesperson of his generation to international partners and bodies, highlighting the issues and concerns of young people about the future if African continent.
