How does the “Founding Government” (TASIS) intend to revitalize the local economy and increase productivity?

Political and civil stability is inseparable from the daily lives of Sudanese citizens. Structural crises often worsen when the economy is paralyzed and production comes to a halt. In this context, the “Founding Government” proposes a comprehensive economic vision that goes beyond the framework of emergency measures. It aims to lay the foundations for a productive federal economy, based on the optimal utilization of national resources, financial transparency, and an end to the central state’s monopoly on wealth.

This comprehensive economic vision rests on several interdependent pillars:

First: Revitalizing the real productive sectors

The “Founding Government” prioritizes support for the agricultural and livestock sectors, which it considers the cornerstone of Sudan’s food security and the primary driver of regional development.

This goal will be achieved by securing transport routes and farmlands, facilitating market access for herders and farmers, providing essential production inputs, and reducing the arbitrary levies that burden local producers.

Second: Regulating resources and organizing trade and investment

The founding vision is based on the prudent and direct management of economic resources and interregional trade routes in order to prevent smuggling and illicit gains.

It also aims to redirect local revenues toward essential services such as health, education, and electricity, thereby reinforcing the principle of each region’s self-sufficiency and ensuring an equitable distribution of national wealth.

It recognizes that a robust local economy cannot be built through government initiative alone; therefore, it prioritizes the creation of a favourable environment for Sudanese capital and the private sector by providing the necessary infrastructure and protecting commercial establishments and local enterprises.

This will contribute to creating new employment opportunities for young people and reducing the rising unemployment rate.

Third: Transparency and the fight against corruption

Revitalizing the local economy requires a firm commitment to combating corruption and eliminating the sources of the parallel economy. The “Founding Government” is committed to establishing rigorous financial control systems to govern the collection and use of revenues, ensuring that every pound reaches the service sector for which it is intended and restoring the confidence of market actors.

The economic vision presented by the founding path is not merely a set of monetary measures, but rather a development charter aimed at restoring the human dignity of citizens and transforming Sudan’s regions currently afflicted by crises into centers of production and self-sufficiency that contribute to shaping the federal and civil future of the state.
